Do you have parking?

Limited parking spaces are available in the secure undercover Hobart City Council car park directly opposite the Hotel (Trafalgar Car Park). Access to the car park is 24 hours using a tag. Parking is $15 per day. Please enquire at the time of accommodation reservation as the parking is limited and subject to availability

What time does reception close?

Reception closes for check-ins at 9pm, however if you know you will be arriving late simply email or phone us at bookings@centralhotelhobart.com.au or on +61 3 62344419 prior to your arrival and we can happily make arrangements for an after hours check-in.

Check-in is between 2pm and 9pm and check-out is at 10am

What happens if I want to cancel my booking?

Bookings modified or cancelled up to 48 hours prior to check-in will not be charged*. For modifications or cancellation less than 48 hours before expected arrival date or in case of no-show 100 percent of the cost of the first night’s accommodation will be charged. 
*All cancellations may incur a $50 administration fee”

Will my credit card be charged when I make a booking?

If you have booked through our website your credit card will be charged the total cost of your stay at the time of booking. If you book by phone directly through Central Hotel Hobart, your credit card will be not be charged, but we ask for the card to secure the booking and for our cancellation policy* only. Some third party websites (such as Expedia, Booking.com) may charge your card at the time of booking.

What is a pre-authorisation?

A pre-authorisation is a validation of a credit card, which protects both the merchant and cardholder from increasingly common fraud incidents. When a pre-authorisation is made, funds from your account are held by the credit card company for a period of 3-5 working days. A pre-authorisation will affect your available funds and/or spending limit. We may run a pre-authorisation at time of booking even if full payment is not required. If this is required, an employee will advise you at the time.

Are there smoking rooms available?

No. We are pleased to advise that for the comfort of all guests smoking is not permitted in any of our guest rooms. There is a $300 charge for smoking in the rooms + associated cleaning and other costs.

Is there a minibar in the room?

No. A mini bar is not available in guest rooms, however, you are welcome to purchase drinks from our bottle shop on the lower ground floor and we will happily provide glassware should you wish to enjoy a beverage in the comfort of your room.

Do you have Wi-Fi?

Yes. Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and public spaces at Central Hotel Hobart. Wi-Fi is included in our room rates, which caters for general browsing, checking and responding to emails, etc. Instructions for accessing the Wi-Fi will be given to you by reception personnel when you check in.

How do I get to your hotel from the airport?

Airport transfer buses and taxis regularly depart from the Hobart International Airport.The fastest and most direct way to Central Hotel Hobart is by taxi. A taxi should take between 20 to 30 minutes and cost approximately $50 depending on the time of day, and the traffic.

Alternatively, Redline coaches operate the Airporter Shuttle Bus, which has a service for every arrival and departure and stops directly opposite Central Hotel Hobart (book for the Quest Savoy (bus mall) stop). The shuttle bus costs approximately $18.00 one-way or $32.00 return, per passenger. Tickets can be booked online or in person at the airport.
